About Us

Our mission, our hope and our community.

The New Hampshire Prostate Cancer Coalition

Since 2006 the New Hampshire Prostate Cancer Coalition has been dedicated to helping those men, their families and friends affected by prostate cancer in greater New Hampshire. We do this by providing; support, information, resources, fundraising and most importantly community.

It is our hope that we, as an organization, can help our local community and the world as a whole in our collective fight against prostate cancer.

Mission & Strategy

N

Mission

The mission of the New Hampshire Prostate Cancer Coalition is the significant reduction of prostate cancer deaths in New Hampshire, thereby raising the quality of life for men and their loved ones.

N

We will accomplish this:

  • Through public awareness, education, and support;
  • By encouraging informed decision making regarding detection and treatment;
  • And by partnering with the medical community in the state of New Hampshire.

Our History

Organized in May of 2006, the Coalition Board of Directors meet every month. All of the members of our board have been impacted by prostate cancer, and have dedicated their time to the fight against this silent killer. All of our members are volunteers without the support of paid staff. The Board of Directors is steadfast in our commitment to implementing our mission.

Spreading awareness of prostate cancer is a major goal. Events such as; Don’t Drop the Ball at local high Schools, Chill Cares, Community Days in Manchester, NH, and speaking at community groups when we are invited help us in this goal of promoting awareness of Prostate Cancer. Working with the Prostate Cancer Support Group of NH also helps us maintain a close relationship with newly diagnosed men.

As a true coalition, we aspire to bring together hospitals, doctors, urologists, lawmakers and others as major forces to promote awareness and reduce the number of Prostate Cancer deaths in our New Hampshire community.
